School Improvement

The school Improvement plan is organised in to four sections that mirror the Education Inspection Framework: Quality of Education, Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes and Leadership and Management.

Under these headings, staff and governors identify what we do well and what our next steps will be to strengthen our school.

Priority 1: Enable realisation of key priority areas by developing skilled middle and senior leaders, thus ensuring  distributed and effective leadership across the school.

Priority 2: Improve attainment and progress in reading by developing an effective curriculum with tailored provision and intervention

Priority 3:  Improve attainment and progress in match by embedding a maths curriculum that is used across the school which focuses on knowledge, skills and mathematical reasoning

Priority 4: Establish high expectations of behaviour across the school by promoting the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of pupils

Priority 5: Improve attendance and punctuality, particularly for disadvantaged pupils, by increasing parental engagement with the school and their child’s learning.

Priority 6: Increase the proportion of pupils reaching age-related expectations, by the end of the academic year, with a focus on narrowing the gap between the disadvantaged and SEND vulnerable groups, and their peers

These are our intentions for the coming year.
